‘Shared Endeavour’ – the power of collaboration in changing times.

A good university experience is an inherently collaborative process, in which many different parts of the university work together and with individual students to provide the education, inspiration, guidance and support to enable those students to do the hard and rewarding work which will lead to their academic success. This lies at the core of what universities do every day – and yet we find it difficult, sometimes, to collaborate in a meaningful way both within our organisations and within the wider higher education sector. As we face increasing levels of external challenge, it becomes even more important to work out how we can work together more effectively, to make the changes needed to thrive in an uncertain world. In this session we will think about what some of that collaboration might look like – whether by breaking down internal siloes in our organisations to improve the way we work, or working more closely with external partners to manage costs or create new opportunities.
