Few words strike fear in education quite like “the timetable”. For years it’s been a puzzle of competing priorities, late changes, and endless pain points for staff and students alike. At Kent, we’re turning that story around. By introducing a clear hierarchy of rules and an advanced fixed approach, we’re publishing timetables earlier, limiting last-minute changes, and putting student stability at the centre. This session will share how we’ve tackled the timetable tangle, balanced flexibility with certainty, and started transforming the timetable from a dreaded headache into a powerful tool for student success and staff sanity.
