Utilising AI in the HE PSG Processes – a real-world example of bringing a Bot into London South Bank University

This session will look at how LSBU introduced an AI Bot – known as Brian – into our enrolment and re-enrolment processes. We will examine the reasoning behind the decision, how we worked with our supplier – Niico – to set the specification so that Brian only processed the records we wanted them to. We’ll also examine the technical issues in bringing an outside system through our firewall and allowing it to update the student record system, and finally an analysis of the cost effectiveness of the programme as well as looking forward to other areas that could be handled by Brian.
