Increasing and future demands on institutional data accuracy can only be met with development of those who create, collate, curate and contextualise data. Growing data confidence and ownership at local and institutional level is fundamental to good decision making.

In today’s dynamic HE climate, the demand for accurate, reliable, timely and actionable institutional data has never been greater. Meeting these demands has required a necessary shift in culture at Winchester.

Although the University was data-rich it was sometimes insight poor, reliant on decisions being made instinctively through experienced eyes.  The University went through a number of stages to change this culture to one that is moving towards accessing data and insight to inform decision making.

This presentation will show Winchester's progressive journey to providing greater access to data and improving its data literacy.
