In light of the growing concerns around the recent global outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19), the SROC Steering Committee is monitoring Government advice with regard to large gatherings and travel arrangements issued by Public Health England and the Foreign & Commonwealth Office respectively.
At present, there is no guidance to suggest that the Student Records Officers’ Conference 2020 April 6 – April 8 in Huddersfield should be postponed or cancelled, and we therefore anticipate and look forward to the SROC community joining together as usual. Naturally, we will ensure we incorporate any guidelines and best practice around gatherings that are relevant at that point, working together with our host institution for 2020, the University of Huddersfield.
If advice changes to the contrary, we will communicate with our delegates and participants at the earliest possible opportunity. Delegates who cancel their attendance before any such communication would be subject to the conference’s standard refund policy. Overseas travellers should follow the official government advice issued by Public Health England, and their respective government agency.
