Being a manager
Presenter: Mick Norman, Data Quality Manager
Institution: University of Kent
Format: Seminar/Group Discussion : a session sharing experiences among participants, perhaps with a brief presentation at the start.
Being a manager can be lonely. In an ever-changing environment with more to do and tighter budgets it can be hard to balance the needs of the organisation with looking after the people in your teams. This session gives an opportunity for colleagues in managerial positions to confidentially come together and share their experiences, ask for and share advice and celebrate success stories, as well as realise we’re all human and that everyone gets things wrong.
