The 2018 conference will be held at The university of Hull. Accommodation for the conference will be split across 4 hotels in the City.

Hotel Accommodation

Royal Hotel hull, Ferensway

The hotel is adjacent to the train station and approximately 3 miles from the conference venue at the University of Hull Campus. Transport will be available between the hotel, campus and the conference dinner venue during the conference. Please be aware transport is not available on arrival.

Holiday Inn, Hull Marina

The hotel is located at the Marina in the City Centre of Hull. It is about an 8 minute walk from the train station and approximately 3.5 miles from the conference venue at the University of Hull Campus. Transport will be available between the hotel, campus and the conference dinner venue during the conference. Please be aware transport is not available on arrival.

Holiday Inn Express, Ferensway

The hotel is next to St Stephens Shopping Centre a 3 minute walk from the train station and approximately 3 miles from the conference venue at the University of Hull Campus. Transport will be available between the hotel, campus and the conference dinner venue during the conference. Please be aware transport is not available on arrival.

Mercure Hull Grange Park Hotel, Willerby

The hotel is located in Willerby 4.2 miles from the centre of Hull and 4.3 miles from the conference venue at the University of Hull Campus. Transport will be available between the hotel, campus and the conference dinner venue during the conference. Please be aware transport is not available on arrival.

When we have confirmed your booking, we will allocate you to a hotel depending on room availability. As far as possible we will place colleagues from the same university in the same hotel.

Travel

We recommend you travel by train as transport will be provided during the conference between the hotel and the university (please not this is not on arrival on 26th March 2017), if you wish to bring your car the conference hotels do have available parking however the parking is charged at £7 per 24 hours and is not included in the conference fee.

Getting to the campus on arrival. The campus is situated 3 miles from the centre of Hull a easily accessible by bus or taxi. The bus station is in the train station and a black cab taxi rank is located at the entrance.

Arrival and registration for the conference

  • You may register for the conference from 2.00pm at the conference venue in Canham Turner.
  • If you are arriving later on the Monday, please let us know in advance and then, upon arrival, make yourself known to one of the conference team.
  • On Tuesday, a conference desk will be available in the main conference venue from 9am until 5pm.

The conference desk, exhibition and day time refreshments will also be housed as above.

We encourage you not to bring your car to campus as transport from the campus to the hotels is available for all conference attendees. Some visitor parking is available on the University campus however you will need a permit. For details on obtaining a permit please email sroc@hull.ac.uk
